My favorites on sale
Hurrah! A Shopbop Sale! I am happy to share these sales with you because they only happen about twice a year. Rather than rounding up a bunch of items for shopping, this post features my top 10 picks from sale that I actually own and love. Now is a perfect time to pick up one of those high-end items you’ve been eyeing. It’s a buy more/save more sale, so the discount gets more generous as your cart fills up!

#1) Cotton Rails Shirt
Are you surprised that this is my number 1 pick from the sale?? If you’ve been here for a while, you know how much I love this shirt! Rails is a great brand for button-down shirts. This is my favorite basic white button-down for the summer. It’s 100% mesh-like cotton, so it’s lightweight and keeps you cool. It certainly has a more casual, relaxed look, but is a body-skimming fit to sculpt you. I like to roll up the sleeves and tuck them in the front of my jeans or tie them in a knot at the waist.

#2) Amanda Uprichard Midi Dress
I love a gorgeous midi dress for spring/summer… it’s elegant yet effortless! All you have to do is put on a pair of sandals and you’re done! This dress by Amanda Uprichard has a beautiful ruffled edge, 3/4 sleeves and a v-neckline. If the v-neck feels too low, you can wear a pretty white lace cami for more modesty! Another advantage of a summery midi dress is that you get more coverage and still stay cool.
If you are looking for more white dresses, check out this post! I also shared white resort dresses here, maxi dresses here and Easter dresses here.
#3) Self Portrait Trench Dress
There are tons of pretty dresses in this Shopbop sale, so if you haven’t checked that off your list yet, now’s the time! Anyone remember this cool trench-style dress from last year? It’s no longer available in green, but I love the brown as it’s even more versatile and easier to style! This dress is business in the front and party in the back. It is a trench style dress in the front that is so chic. And the back has a small cut-out opening for a sexy twist. The smocking around the tummy is really flattering and I love the flared hemline. It’s the perfect mix of masculine and feminine!
#4) ba&sh white top
Ba&sh has quickly become one of my favorite brands! Their blouses are SO beautiful, have beautiful design details and the quality is so good I know they will last for years. Didn’t get a chance to take a hi-res photo of this shirt, but it’s for sale, so I had to share! I love the crochet details and the super light cotton material.

#5) Moussy vintage shorts and jeans
I LOVE Moussy Vintage jeans and have quite a few pairs. So when I saw they had jeans, I knew I had to try them. And… I love them! They are comfortable, but the denim is stiff enough to make you feel secure. The length (3″ inseam) and high waist (10″) are amazing! And I love the disturbing and raw hem! They also have a lot of room around the leg so they have that looser fit! These shorts sell out FAST every time they are restocked, so if you see your size, grab them quick!

If you’re wondering how to find age-appropriate denim shorts over 40, this post is a must-read!
#6) Agolde Shorts & Jeans
For cheaper denim shorts that are just as fun, try these Agolde shorts! These were my favorite denim shorts before I found the Moussy pair, but I will definitely continue to wear them every summer! This brand, Agolde, is a line from the same designer as 7 For All Mankind and Citizens of Humanity… both great denim brands! These shorts give me a 90’s vibe that I love, but with a twist. I like the minimally distressing, raw hem and high waist. These are not your average high waisted shorts… they have a 12.25″ waistline! So you feel very secure and tucked in. The inseam is 4″ so they are not too short and completely cover your bum. The shorts that I’m wearing the Dee Shorts, but our editor, Susan also likes the Parker Long Shorts if you want to check those out too!

#7) Alexis Dress
This Alexis dress has interesting little details that are so beautiful… the lace hem, tassel on the waistband with tie belt, voluminous balloon sleeves and ruffles around the shoulders! The cinched waist and flared skirt are super flattering. And it’s 100% cotton poplin, which feels quite silky and cool against the skin. It also doesn’t crease that easily. You’ll love the 3/4 sleeve coverage! I also just ordered this Alexis dress in green, which is similar to white but in a midi length, super comfy and so chic and flattering. It’s only available in pink at the moment, but it’s such an amazing dress it would be beautiful in any color!
#8) White Jonathan Simkhai Dress
I know this isn’t the highest quality photo of this dress, but I didn’t get a chance to take any pretty pictures of it… And I couldn’t wait to show it to you! I love everything about this dress… the fabric is lightweight and breathable, the neckline is flattering, the sleeves are dramatic (but you can push them up or roll them up if you want), and the gold chain detail is SO cool! The cutout is quite small and the small patch of skin you show is contrasted by the all-over coverage of the longer hem and sleeves.
If you want to get a closer look at the dress, be sure to check out this post on IG so you can see the dress in motion!
#9) Veja sneakers
Anyone remember this post where I reviewed the popular Veja sneakers? I talked about their break-in time, the different styles and more. They are also a great, affordable alternative to the Golden Goose sneakers. The exact color I’m wearing above isn’t for sale, but I love this neutral pair for summer! I also love this pair and this pair.
Check out my full review of the sneakers here.
#10) Loeffler Randall Sandals
These Loeffler Randall sandals are gorgeous! I like the beautiful golden color and the low heel. They are comfortable and the perfect shoe to take a casual look to the next level or pair with a dress for a special event. I styled these shoes in different ways in this video in case you’re interested in more ways to wear them!
Bonus) Cinq a Sept Joggers
I shared these joggers in a recent video where I talked about one of the most popular color combinations this year… black and white! They are really fun, edgy cargo joggers from Cinq a Sept that are perfect for summer because they are so light! The fabric is silky and soft. The inseam is a little longer but they still work for me and I’m 5’4”. They don’t come in black, but they come in a beautiful ivory color that is equally versatile! If you’re looking for a more casual jogger, I also love these Norma Kamali pants that I’ve had for years. By the way, the top I’m wearing is also on sale and has been a long-time favorite!
Wardrobe Basics on sale!
By the way, I’ve shared my entire spring/summer capsule wardrobe here in case you’re interested. Quite a few of the pieces are part of the sale and are linked below…
