Brandon Blackwood doesn’t stop at internet-famous handbags
Misty White Sidell interviews handbag designer Brandon Blackwood as he expands his wildly successful line of internet-famous handbags into a lifestyle brand of footwear and ready-to-wear. On being labeled an “activist designer,” Blackwood tells Sidell, “As a black designer, people always want a trauma story, they want a race trauma story or I’m like ‘fighting power,’ 24/7. I just really love these bags and I feel like I have to fight this all the time.” On Friday he will introduce his spring 2022 collection on his website. {WWD}

Can the metaverse transform fashion business models?

The future is often both more mundane and stranger than anyone predicts.” {Business of Fashion}
