Harry Styles had to make a powerful statement after the tragic shooting in Uvalde, Texas. On May 27, the “Matilda” singer announced on his Instagram account that he is teaming up with Everytown For Gun Safety on its 2022 North American tour.

“Along with all of you, I am absolutely devastated by the recent series of mass shootings in America, which culminated at the latest at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas,” he wrote in a somber tone. “On our North American tour, we will partner with Everytown committed to ending gun violence by donating to support their efforts and sharing their proposed action items,” he added.

He also added a statistic to the following snapshot that read, “Firearms are the No. 1 cause of death for American children and teenagers.” “End gun violence,” the caption read, ending the post on a strong note.

Everytown For Gun Safety describes itself as “the largest gun violence prevention organization in America,” according to its official website. Harry plans to donate the proceeds from his tour, called Love On Tour, to charity, People said.

Harry isn’t the only celebrity who has decided to take a stand and use their voices after the devastating Texas shooting. Matthew McConaughey, whose hometown is Uvalde, showed his support by visiting the town and paying his respects to the victims.
