Damini Ogulu, popularly known by his stage name Burna Boy, will be releasing his new album ‘Love, Damini’. He confirmed July 2 as the release date for the album.
The singer eventually announced the release date of the new album in a video asking fans to save the date in advance, which doubles as his birthday.
Remember, the Twice As Tall lead singer hinted at the release of his album earlier this week in an interview on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
He said, “It comes out on a day when everybody celebrates it to themselves when it’s their own day.”
In anticipation of his new album, Burna Boy debuted a new song from the album during his performance at The Madison Square Garden.
Love, Damini comes two years after his Grammy award-winning album Twice As Tall.
Speaking to Trevor Noah on the daily show, Burna Boy went down in history and relived producing the 2020 Best World Music Album via zoom.
You just have the laptop on in the studio with all the parties involved while we make the music and all that. And everybody is like this is the song we have to choose, we have to choose this, and yes, it just worked out.”
The singer recently sold out New York City’s famous Madison Square Garden, with 20,000 tickets.
