Aaron Rodgers gave his first public comment on Shailene Woodley since reports that they broke off their engagement last week, fueling rumors that they may still be together or at least be very friendly exes.
Rodgers wrote: “Here’s what… #MondayNightGratitude to some of the incredibly special people in my life, with some photos from the past beautiful year.” Then he first mentioned Woodley: “@shailenewoodley, thank you for letting me come after you for the first few months after we met, and for finally letting me catch up and be a part of your life. Thank you for always standing behind me, for the incredible kindness you showed me and everyone you met, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like, I love you and am grateful for you.” Woodley didn’t like the post and didn’t interact with it.

Woodley has yet to comment on the breakup rumors. The reps for the two did not deny them, with Woodley’s rep not responding to People’s request for comment and Rodgers’ rep refusing to comment. A source close to Rodgers told People that the couple broke up.
Days later, a source close to Woodley and Rodgers described the surprise couple as destined not to last long for People. “They fell hard and fast, but it was a mismatch from the start,” the source said. “Aaron is a complicated boy. No one in their circle is surprised that this did not work out. In the bubble of the pandemic, it was easy for them to fall in love and focus only on their relationship, but that’s not real life.”
Woodley and Rodgers were in a relationship for less than two years before breaking up. They announced their engagement in February 2021.
